ONICON – Air Monitor- Airflow Measurement after a Regenerative Pre-Heater

Forced Draft (FD) Fans are used to push ambient air through industrial air pre-heaters. These regenerative heaters pre-heat the air to increase efficiency within a boiler system. As part of the optimal air-to-fuel ratio in a boiler system, accurately measuring airflow after the regenerative airflow pre-heaters creates the best chance for an efficient and eco-friendly system. A key challenge in this application is the particulate-laden airflow found downstream of the regenerative air. Air Monitor offers airflow measurement systems equipped with the AUTO-purge III that automatically prevents debris from clogging airflow measurement stations. This system is paired with a rugged Air Monitor transmitter that is programmed to work in conjunction with the AUTO-purge III to provide an accurate, continuous, and repeatable mass airflow measurement reading.
